Plymouth’s own Rat Pack crooner Michael Campari with his magnificent seven-piece swing band, The Solar System.
At the launch of Michael Campari and the Solar System, everyone witnessed this fabulous band take classic tunes and breathe new life and a certain edginess into them, making them relevant to 21st century music-lovers of all ages.
Two full moons have waxed and waned since then – all the planets have re-aligned – and the Campari spaceship is returning to the Live Lounge docking station with an even better set list and the addition of a sophisticated production team. Dr Stephen Wallace has been beamed on board the ‘Starship Campari’ with his ‘Martin of London’ sound system, together with his lighting partner Ron Mason. Stephen said: ‘Michael, I’m going to use a scaled-down version of the system I used when I worked with Frank Sinatra and Matt Monroe in Australia.’
I’m sure the evening will swing and ‘Sway’ from beginning to end and you’ll either end up asking Campari to ‘Fly to the Moon’ or give you a ‘Moondance’ or take ‘All of Me’ to ‘New York New York’.
Don’t miss it! You will even have the chance to download a track to your phone through new mobile phone music download system ‘Gigaboxx’ which gets it’s national launch tonight at Michael’s gig.
